One recruiting analyst says FSU is a threat to land a top 2027 quarterback

Would a big deal from a perception stand point.

Florida State has several recruiting targets at the quarterback position for the 2027 recruiting class, but has yet to secure a commitment at the position. The Noles have had several guys on campus and continue to have conversations with several targets, but one guy seems to stand out among the rest, and one recruiting analyst believes FSU is a threat in that recruitment.

Four-star quarterback Israel Abrams is the guy recruiting analyst Tom Loy believes FSU is a major threat for:

He'll cost a lot of money but would be a big win from a perception standpoint

Normally, I wouldn’t put much stock into this, but there are a few things siding with FSU right now. The Noles have already made his list of final five schools, and they will get one of the final official visits this summer.

FSU will be one of the five schools he visits this spring. I know some folks will say Miami is the biggest threat, but they have literally said the hell with recruiting high school quarterbacks and gone straight to the portal for their starting quarterback in the past three recruiting cycles. It should be easy to negative recruit them from that standpoint.

He fits Mike Norvell’s system well. However, this recruitment will likely come down to two things. Is FSU really going to pony up the money for a top high school quarterback? Personally, I don’t think the investment is worth it nowadays. The other reason is, will FSU win enough games to keep Mike Norvell and convince Abrams to come to Tallahassee?

We'll see what happens after he takes his unofficial visits this month, but this one might be one to keep an eye on since he's the only quarterback FSU has scheduled an official visit with at this point.
