FSU football coaches have been on a hot recruiting streak this month. The Noles have added five of its 14 commits in June and will host several more top players before the month is done.

FSU coaches hosted a camp, and four-star top 100 defensive end Trenton Henderson was in attendance. It was his first time visiting since he came to FSU's Junior Day. Henderson has taken official visits to several places, including Florida recently, where he indicated they were his leader.

However, he announced that FSU would get his final official visit in August for the Alabama game. We've already written about how that game is the most important game on the schedule for 2025. However, how FSU looks in that game could go a long way in persuading Henderson to consider the Noles.

Henderson staying in-state seems to be a draw FSU coaches can lean into, and it's not like FSU hasn't produced first-round defensive ends lately. It's not like Tony White hasn't produced top 20 defenses in back-to-back seasons. Henderson likely plans to make a decision shortly after that official visit. It'll be enough time for the visit to Florida to dissipate, and for FSU to put forth its best recruiting pitch.

The fact he returned to FSU to watch his brother and other teammates perform at the camp is a promising sign.

He is 6'4" and 225 pounds. Henderson ranks as the No. 82 player and No. 11 edge nationally. He's the No. 11 player in the Sunshine State. FSU doesn't have any true defensive ends committed, but they have some other targets. Henderson is the No. 1 target, and landing him would be a game-changer. If FSU can pull off the upset or remain competitive against Alabama? There might be enough there for FSU to pull the rug out from under Florida in this recruitment.
