It's funny how things change with time. A month ago, we had clowns on social media tweeting at coaches about doing their jobs. Those same clowns have been awfully quiet with FSU going on a recruiting heater over the last week.

The 2026 recruiting class has 14 commits and is in line to add more over the next few weeks. FSU has the No. 19 recruiting class nationally and is only 11 points away from a top-10 class.

FSU landed commitments from Brandon Bennett, James Carrington, Tico Crittendon, and Noah LaVallee in the past week. I wrote how FSU could have a top 10 class if they landed four players from where they were a few days ago. The Noles landed two of those players on Tuesday.

Oklahoma quarterback commit Jaden O'Neal is a major flip target for the Noles. He started his official visit on Monday, and I wrote about five recruiting strategies FSU could use to flip his commitment.

FSU has a crystal ball prediction for five-star cornerback back Chauncey Kennon. If FSU received commitments from those two players right now, they'd have the No. 8 recruiting class nationally with only 16 commitments. They remain in the mix for several other blue-chip players, including Devin Carter, Xavier Tiller, Lasiah Jackson, Rodney Colton Jr., and others.

I've said the whole time I thought FSU was playing the long game, but ultimately, it's going to come down to how much success they have on the field in 2025. If they can win eight or more games? I could see this coaching staff make some noise on the recruiting trail.

Think about it, they are a couple of commits from a top-10 class in June coming off a 2-10 season. They have quietly put in the work behind the scenes and could be in a great position to close on some quality players with some early-season success. They were in the same position last year and failed miserably. However, this is mostly a new staff, so it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out. They have been cooking as of late.
