On3's JD PicKell raves about two offensive players that could shine for Florida State

These players could be difference-makers for the Florida State Seminoles in 2026.

Florida State football is struggling to find consistency within its program, as it has accumulated a 7-17 overall record over the past two seasons. The Seminoles started so well by defeating Alabama in the season opener. However, it crumbled under pressure as time went on.

This brought about the negativity surrounding the program. It used to be ESPN's Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy who poked fun at the Seminoles when they were at their lowest of lows. However, a new name has joined the circle in On3's JD PicKell.

PicKell has consistently used his On3 social media platform as a method to speak negatively about Florida State. Sometimes it feels like he finds something negative to talk about even when it isn't relevant at the time. However, I get that it is all about generating viewership and clicks to bring in traffic for the company. That is what he is getting paid to do.

It is confusing to me that PicKell has turned into the villain of the Florida State football fanbase. If everyone doesn't know, FSU Twitter isn't the most peaceful space to discuss the Seminoles, especially as of late. PicKell almost feels like he took a page out of their book and stuck with the negative route.

On3's JD PicKell finally speaks positively about Florida State football when discussing Duce Robinson and Ousmane Kromah

Florida State fans don't have much to be positive about after they have endured six losing seasons in eight years. It seemed like when former head coach Jimbo Fisher left Tallahassee in 2017, so did the winning culture.

It should be all bad for the Seminoles. They still have talent on their roster, as Phil Steele indicated that there are four players on the roster on his Preseason All-ACC teams.

JD PicKell doesn't have many positives to speak about the Seminoles, but he dropped a recent YouTube video on On3's channel and mentioned that two positives for Florida State football were wide receiver Duce Robinson and running back Ousmane Kromah (cut to the 11-minute mark in the YouTube video).

I believe that PicKell is spot on about his assessment of Duce Robinson. It makes it even better that head coach Mike Norvell is calling the plays in 2026. Robinson should be more involved in slant routes, crossing patterns, and screens to get the football into his hands. The former USC transfer had 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns last season, and I expect those numbers to be higher if quarterback Ashton Daniels can stay healthy.

As for Kromah, this is merely a prediction on the part of PicKell. The former four-star running back prospect was someone that the Seminoles had to battle away from the home-state Georgia Bulldogs. The back showed promise even when Florida State played "musical chairs" with their rotation, but Kromah didn't record a rushing touchdown last year. I believe that he is the starting running back in 2026, but how much will Texas transfer Tre Wisner eat into his opportunities?
