Florida State softball (46-8, 21-3 ACC) swept the Boston College Eagles over the weekend to secure its second consecutive ACC regular-season title. However, that was only the beginning of the greatness associated with the 2026 team.
It came as no surprise that Isa Torres was the ACC Player of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Torres led the nation with a .548 batting average. She also led the ACC in hits and total bases. Torres went the entire season without an error at shortstop in 156 chances(ELITE). It will be a joke if she doesn't win the National Player of the Year.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT‼️

Jazzy Francik had a strong finish to her sophomore campaign, firing two no-hitters over the final couple of weeks in the season. She led the conference with 20 wins, was second in ERA (1.84), and top 10 in several other categories. She will be a huge contributor to how far Florida State softball can go in the postseason.

The ACC Coach of the Year award is the seventh for Coach Lonni Alameda(last won it in 2023). It was well deserved, navigating the season while relying on several true freshman as key contributors to another ACC Regular-Season title.

Excellent season for the Florida State softball team!
How about that? Three true freshmen on the All-ACC team! That's a major accomplishment for a program that decided to go away from using the transfer portal after last season. Freshman Bella Dimitrijevic had a strong campaign, though she didn't make the list.
Florida State will begin it's postseason quest on Thursday morning, taking on the winner of the Notre Dame/Georgia Tech game in the ACC Quarterfinals. If they reach the finals, they'll likely face either Duke or Virginia Tech, two teams they didn't face in the regular season.
A potential matchup against Stanford looms in the semifinals, the only team to beat FSU in ACC play.
