Florida State's offense has started to turn into the "Florida State Knights" as the Seminoles are bringing the band back together with the hirings of Gus Malzahn, Herb Hand, and Tim Harris Jr.

I wouldn't be mad with the thought process since UCF finished 16th in the FBS in total offense for the 2024 season. The Knights were very productive running the football, averaging 248.1 rushing yards per game (8th in the FBS). For reference, Florida State's total offense finished 132nd.

While I know that the Seminoles are not of the same caliber as UCF, fans have to realize that the Knights are in way better shape offensively than Florida State is. Florida State has offensive line pieces such as UCF's Marcellus Marshall and Caden Kitler visiting and looking to be in a position to land them.

However, one other emerging transfer from the Knights is an offensive tackle transfer, Adrian Medley. Knights247's Stephen Leonard made a crystal ball prediction in favor of Florida State to get Medley. The veteran started all twelve games for the Knights in 2024 and is listed at 6'4" and 305 pounds.

The offensive lineman is listed as a senior on UCF's roster, so he will have one year of eligibility remaining. It is important to get offensive tackle transfers to protect quarterback Thomas Castellanos and his blind side.

However, I do realize that the offensive guards and centers play a factor in the scheme of offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, considering that they run downhill. It is nice to see offensive line coach Herb Hand finding the offensive linemen who fit the scheme and have experience with it.
