Mike Norvell will get a visit from a 4-star QB the Noles would love to land

This would be a great pickup for the Seminoles.

Florida State football's coaching staff has worked hard to get talented prospects on campus for unofficial visits. The Seminoles have secured five commitments in their 2027 class, so they have a long way to go to achieve a full class.

With the five commitments, there are two of them that are getting attention from other schools, such as four-star Mekhi Williams and three-star Jemari Foreman. This causes the Seminoles to ensure that they have everything planned out in terms of organization to retain them in the class.

One of the downfalls in the Mike Norvell era has been his high school recruiting efforts. He has never captured a top-ten recruiting class. This should be unheard of at Florida State because former coaches Jimbo Fisher and Bobby Bowden grabbed many talented players during their tenures.

Florida State gets an unofficial visit from quarterback Wonderful "Champ" Monds in the spring

Florida State has to land a quarterback prospect in the 2027 cycle and develop him. I understand that the next season will feature Kevin Sperry, Malachi Marshall, and Jaden O'Neal, but you always have options to bring in new talent.

As we know, Florida State has relied heavily on the transfer portal, and hasn't done anything at the position past the Jordan Travis era. Most are wondering if Coach Norvell can even win games without Travis. I will say that Travis was a really good player with the Seminoles.

Nonetheless, one good option that they are pursuing is four-star quarterback Wonderful "Champ" Monds IV from Vero Beach, Florida. He is actually someone that I included in my pieces about prospects that the Seminoles need to land in their 2027 class.

According to a report from On3's Steve Wiltfong, Monds IV will be unofficially visiting Florida State on March 28th.

Florida and Notre Dame are the two schools that I worry about in his recruitment. The Seminoles already saw three-star Derrick Baker come off their recruiting board as he committed to Tennessee, so it became so important to ensure that they land a quarterback this cycle.

This is the Seminoles' moment to shine in the recruiting cycle.
