FSU FOOTBALL
Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably knew that Florida State football had a massive victory this past Saturday afternoon by a score of 31-17. It was a great feat for the Seminoles after they had finished 2-10 the year before.
Many individuals were questioning the ability of head football coach Mike Norvell, but the administration, players, and recruits didn't waver. I think it is time that we put the "Fire Mike Norvell" talk to bed, as I alluded to in a previous article.
PRE GAME SPEECH
There were doubters out there who didn't feel Florida State could even keep the game competitive. Yes, I am talking about you, Paul Finebaum. It was so shocking to some that they completely dismissed their previous opinions and blamed it on Alabama being a horrible team rather than Florida State being ready.
The squad had to have felt confident in themselves to start a new year. This isn't the same Florida State team from 2024, as they added forty-four new transfers and recruits.
Florida State football allowed the general population to get a behind-the-scenes look at the contest versus Alabama. In the video, it highlighted a piece of the episodes that the university will release weekly, where it had head football coach Mike Norvell conducting a pregame speech before the season opener.

Coach Norvell might as well let me go out there and strap it out. The opening comment that he made to the team shows the confidence in his squad to be aggressive and physical. This is a Florida State team that wants you to feel their presence. None of these Alabama players seems to want the ultimate goal of being successful in 2025.
