FSU looked lethargic from the onset, started the game with a penalty, and promptly went three-and-out. The FSU defense we’ve come to know over the past few weeks showed its ugly head early, allowing Stanford to march down the field for a field goal.
The game was a microcosm of the Mike Norvell era. The referees allowed several DPI penalties against Stanford to go uncalled, only to call numerous penalties on FSU. FSU played undisciplined and allowed players who screwed up on multiple occasions to stay in the game to keep playing.

We’re not sure who FSU can get as its head coach, but Mike Norvell has zero shot of getting this program where it’s supposed to be. He wasted both opportunities to do it (2024 season and this season after starting 3-0 and beating Alabama).
The best plan would be to make Gus Malzahn the interim coach, fire Tony White, and promote someone to be the interim defensive coordinator.
The next part of the plan would be finding out who would want to come to FSU to try and revive this program. FSU doesn't look like the attractive option it used to be, but they should be able to find someone worth two cents. It's still one of the few places in the nation that has access to elite talent in its back yard and the ability to rebound quickly.
We saw that in for a short stint in the Mike Norvell era. It's going to cost a whole lot of money, but folks are going to stop coming to the games and donating money if the FSU administration doesn't make a move.
