Florida State has some clarity on its transfer portal quarterback targets. UNLV quarterback Anthony Colandrea will be the first target to visit FSU.
It will be his first official visit to any school since officially entering the transfer portal on Friday.

There was some buzz with Florida State when Colandrea announced plans to enter the transfer portal. It makes sense. He’s originally from the Sunshine State and has the tools to be successful in Gus Malzahn’s offense. It’s a plus that he’s played against Power Four competition and gotten coached up by Dan Mullen over the past year.
Of the quarterback targets rumored with interest in FSU, Colandrea is the one I like the best. He completes a high percentage of his passes (65.9 percent) and averages nearly nine yards per pass attempt. He’s good with his legs, rushing for 649 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 5.11 yards per rush.
Colandrea takes a lot of sacks, but also doesn’t turn the ball over a ton (nine interceptions on over 400 pass attempts). He’s got some swag to him and helped UNLV win 10 games in Dan Mullen’s first season as head coach.
I also like that he has experience playing in the ACC. He started his first two years at Virginia and had some decent success on the UVA teams with little to no talent.
The reports say Colandrea has other visits scheduled, but it’ll be interesting to see if FSU can get him secured before leaving to take those other trips. They have locked on guys over the past two years and gotten them locked in fairly quickly. If so, that can help with bringing in other talent on the offensive line and other positions of need.
