Florida State landed several talented wide receivers in the 2026 cycle, which included four-star Jasen Lopez, four-star Efrem White, four-star Devin Carter, four-star Brandon Bennett, three-star Darryon Williams, and three-star Jonah Winston.
This has been an excellent job with recruiting by the position coach Tim Harris Jr. The Seminoles need to have athletes who can change the scoreboard in an instant. The offense was fine when it was between the 20-yard lines, but once it got to the red zone, it became an issue.
The offense will be welcoming in several new pieces to the team, just like it did a season ago. One of the bigger storylines is who will be the starting quarterback since Thomas Castellanos has exceeded his eligibility.
Wide receiver Efrem White discusses how Duce Robinson is the leader of the team
True freshman Efrem White from Vero Beach, Florida, has only been at Florida State for roughly a month, so he is trying to get acclimated to the collegiate game. However, he spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon and stated that wide receiver Duce Robinson was the leader of the team.
Robinson was mulling over the decision to declare for the NFL Draft and come back to the Seminoles in 2026. He had 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns last year (according to ESPN Stats and Information). Shockingly, the pass catcher elected to stay in Tallahassee, where his father once played.
This had to be an incredible moment for Robinson. He isn't a player who is considered to be "flashy". He just wants the Seminoles to be successful. Robinson felt like there was unfinished business, as Florida State finished with a 5-7 record.
He might be considered a leader on the team, but Florida State will be welcoming in a new quarterback to the fold this season. This could keep it interesting.
