Happy Super Bowl (for those that celebrate)!
Much of the country is centered around the big-time matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. These are two teams that weren't expected to be in this position, as quarterbacks Drake Maye and Sam Darnold square off.
We at ChopChat also want to congratulate former Florida State defensive tackle Joshua Farmer of the Patriots for making it to the Super Bowl. During the Super Bowl week, many individuals like to have creative features leading up to the game. ESPN analyst Ryan Clark caught up with Los Angeles Rams defensive end Jared Verse about Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman.
Rams pro bowler @JaredVerse1 & @BuffaloBills ’ @keoncoleman6 were teammates at Florida State. Their short careers have been total opposites. Bills owner Terry Paula used Coleman’s drafting as a part of Sean McDermott’s firing.

Both Verse and Coleman were teammates at Florida State during the 2023 season. The two careers have been exact opposites, where Verse has had success, while Coleman has had to deal with the Owner and General Manager making comments about drafting him
Verse wasn't afraid in the Clark interview to show the impact that Coleman had at Florida State. The defensive end isn't scared to speak his mind. He genuinely knows that his former teammate will figure it out.
Remembering Keon Coleman and Jared Verse at Florida State
Florida State football had its magical 2023 season, which resulted in an undefeated regular season and a conference championship victory over Louisville. That dreaded December for Seminole fans tragically ended in one of the more injustices of the sport, with an undefeated Florida State team being left out in favor of a one-loss Alabama.
This squad should have never been left out of the playoffs, even without the services of do-it-all quarterback Jordan Travis. Defensive end Jared Verse had a combined 18 sacks in two years with the Seminoles, while wide receiver Keon Coleman had over 700 yards and eleven touchdowns during his lone season.
Both individuals have in common: They have very confident personalities. Confidence goes a long way in college football, and it is something that has been missing since those two graduated and moved on to the NFL.
It is great to see Verse speaking glowingly about his former teammate, regardless of his circumstances.
