It's a waiting game... When will the buzz from On3's Hayes Fawcett come to fruition?

Tick, tock... the clock is ticking.

FSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING BUZZ

Florida State football recruiting has been on fire this summer for the 2026 cycle, where it ranks as the 12th-best in the 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles have been surprisingly doing well after finishing with a 2-10 record.

Fans have been pleasantly amazed by how head football coach Mike Norvell and the coaching staff have recruited. The program was getting prospects every day or every other day at the end of June. However, July has only seen two prospects through nine days.

Let me say that the Seminoles acquired their top two members of their recruiting class in five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon and four-star defensive lineman Earnest Rankins, so it shouldn't go unnoticed by any means.

FSU FOOTBALL FANS HYPE UP THE HAYES FAWCETT NEWS

We have an article on the site about this, but On3's Hayes Fawcett sent a Florida State GIF randomly out of the blue, which made fans think it was about recruiting since Fawcett centers his content around the topic.

It is now July 9th, and there is still no good news about the Hayes Fawcett GIF that he tweeted about. We live in a "microwave" society where we want everything to happen right now.

While our very own Kelvin Hunt shared who he thought Fawcett was discussing, the coaching staff is eager to suggest that this weekend could be a magical time since four-star tight end Heze Kent, four-star tight end Landen Miree, four-star offensive tackle Wilson Zierer, four-star linebacker DQ Forkpa, and four-star linebacker Rodney Colton Jr. are all making decisions in that time frame.

Patience is key when it comes to waiting on these young men to announce their decision sometimes, but the real factor will be how Florida State football responds on the gridiron this season.
