FSU softball kept its momentum going on Tuesday evening with another five-inning run-rule win. They defeated North Florida 8-0 for their 18th consecutive win to improve to 29-4 overall.
The best hitter in college softball, Isa Torres, started the action with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. Torres finished the game three for three with three RBI. Her batting average is now .655 and leads the nation.

Nobody can debate how great Isa Torres is. She's one of the most complete softball players I've ever seen.
Ashtyn Danley hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the second, and Jaysoni Beachum improved her batting average to .384 with a walk and an RBI single.

Jazzy Francik got the start in the circle and pitched three innings for the win. She allowed two hits, two walks, and two strikeouts. Makenna Reid pitched 1.2 innings, allowing no hits, one walk, and one strikeout. Bella Dimitrijevic struck out the only batter she faced to end the game.
FSU playing solid softball right now, despite the competition not being that great. They are dominating teams they should be dominating and getting contributions from nearly every player in the lineup. They will travel to face the Clemson Tigers in ACC action this weekend. It will be their first conference series away from Tallahassee.
Clemson isn't playing like they were a couple of years ago, but should still pack a decent challenge, especially if FSU doesn't play well. Lonni Alameda seems to have keyed in on mostly everyone's roles on the team at this point.
Now it's all about continuing to gain experience and hoping they can keep playing with consistency in every phase of the game.
