Florida State football is in complete disarray. The majority of the incoming transfer portal players are decent, but too many players who could be building blocks for the future want to enter the transfer portal, or threaten to leave to try and get more money from FSU.
That might be the latest from former four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn, as news broke Saturday night that he expects to enter the transfer portal:

Wynn battled injuries after arriving at FSU and didn’t play in the first few games of the 2025 season. He missed the first four games and played in the next four before sitting out the final four games to preserve his redshirt season. If he enters the transfer portal, FSU preserved the redshirt season for nothing that another team will benefit from.
The trio of Wynn and the Desir Twins(who have been threatening to leave FSU for the past week while trying to negotiate for more money) would be the building blocks for a potential dominant defensive front at FSU over the next few years. However, if the twins leave AND Wynn? FSU would literally have no defensive linemen with experience going into the 2026 season.
This isn’t a case where FSU could do much because Wynn was hurt. If he wants more money, why should they give it to him when he barely played? At the same time, they invested a lot of money to get his signature out of high school. College football is broken right now because there’s too much freedom with these college football players.
I’m not saying that because this is happening at FSU, it’s happening to nearly every college.
