FSU IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL 26
EA Sports released the College Football 25 video game, which was something that the college football population was waiting for since the series had not been back since NCAA Football 14. It was clear that last year's game wasn't a perfect product, but it was something that EA Sports could build on.
They are dropping College Football 26 for early release on July 7th (standard edition will be available on July 10th). I know that Seminole fans will be relieved to have the opportunity to play with a dual-threat quarterback such as Thomas Castellanos after the Florida State offense went through so many changes during the 2024 season.
Last year wasn't what the fan base wanted, but hopefully, they can have a feel-good rebuild when they hop on the sticks and play College Football 26.
NEW FEATURE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL 26
The College Football 26 gameplay reveal already threw shots towards the Seminoles, where it highlighted an overthrow by Thomas Castellanos (which was intercepted) to show how to adjust the safeties in the game then they mention the signal-caller's height (5'9") and how it could be more difficult throwing the football in the game with shorter quarterbacks.
The negative light didn't stop in that sense as College Football 26 added a new wrinkle to the Road to Glory mode, where individuals can create their player to navigate through high school and enter college, and hopefully get drafted to the NFL.
When choosing the college of the prospect's choice in the hat ceremony, they have the option to choose a school, fake out a college, or throw the hat on the ground. Florida State (among other schools) are victims to this type of behavior on Signing Day.

Once you narrow the schools that offered you a scholarship down to 3, then you have a tough decision to make.

TRAVIS HUNTER PTSD
The most notable prospect is former five-star prospect Travis Hunter (who eventually became an All-American, Heisman Trophy winner, and first-round pick) when he was committed to Florida State for a long period, then decided to flip his commitment and sign with head football coach Deion Sanders and Jackson State on Signing Day.
Hunter threw the Seminoles' hat on the floor and left the Seminoles' fan base in shock as they thought they had a generational talent signed to play in Tallahassee.
I hate that I had to encounter that PTSD again, but I hope that Florida State's recruiting gets better and the Seminoles win a national championship once again soon, so that it can be a thing of the past.
