Florida State softball (35-4, 12-0 ACC) completed its fourth ACC series sweep as it stormed back from an early 4-0 deficit on Saturday to defeat Notre Dame 8-4 for its 24th consecutive win.

FSU won the first game 7-2 and the second game 10-0 via five-inning run rule. The Noles haven’t lost since February 21st.

Jaysoni Beachum, Anna Hinde, and Ashtyn Danley had two hits each. Hinde had four RBI, and Kennedy Harp went 3-4 with two RBI.

Freshman Bella Dimitrijevic struggled inside the circle with the start, allowing four earned runs, five hits, one walk, and no strikeouts in 2.1 innings. Jazzy Francik and Ashtyn Danley held the Notre Dame offense in check the rest of the way, allowing one hit, four walks, and three strikeouts.

FSU won't face many challenges the rest of the way, but will need to clean up some things before the postseason starts.

The walks continue to be an issue for Florida State pitchers, and it'll be a concern when they face better competition. The 24 game winning streak is impressive because other teams have lost against inferior competition this season. However, these walks are things that better hitting teams will likely take advantage of, especially when the postseason rolls around.

FSU is firmly in the driver's seat regarding the ACC regular season and won't face any of the other teams in the rearview mirror.

They will head to the West Coast for a four-game stretch beginning on Wednesday against Santa Clara before facing No. 24 Stanford in a three-game series.

The Cardinals are 9-6 in the ACC and arguably their toughest remaining opponents on the schedule, along with North Carolina.
