FSU softball (9-1) defeated the neighboring FAMU Rattlers 11-0 in a five-inning run-rule affair Thursday afternoon in the first game of the JoAnne Graf Classic.
It was the ninth straight for the Noles after losing the season opener against Oklahoma State. Michaela Edenfield remains hot at the plate, going 1-2 with four RBI. Hallie Wacaser also had two RBI.
FSU scored three runs in the bottom of the first on a bases-clearing double by Edenfield. They scored five runs in the bottom of the third and two more in the bottom of the fourth.

When Edenfield is hitting the ball to right-centerfield, she's one of the most dangerous hitters in college softball.
FSU only had five hits but took advantage of 14 walks by Rattler pitchers. Jaysoni Beachum, Kennedy Harp, and Katie Dack walked three times each.
Ashtyn Danley and Krystina Hartley each had doubles and one RBI. Kennedy Harp with 1-1 with a RBI triple to keep her hitting streak alive. Harp is hitting a ridiculous .714 through 10 games.
Yup, she's still hot🔥🔥🔥

Aside from the two walks, it was a solid outing for Danley, who hadn't been as sharp as needed early this season. It should be a nice confidence boost, with FSU facing better competition later this weekend against Texas A&M.
Mimi Gooden pitched the final inning, allowing no runs, no hits, and two walks on 17 pitches (7 strikes).
The Noles will host Southeastern Louisiana University on Friday at 3 p.m. They'll face No. 6 Texas A&M in a doubleheader on Saturday, with the first game starting at 3 p.m. ET. All of the games will air on the ACC Next channel.
