Florida State's 2025 recruiting class has been a work in progress, with the Seminoles currently possessing a 2-9 record. It is also notable that the Seminoles have fired offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans.

The program is waiting for the 2024 season to end. However, Florida State has one more game left in the campaign against arch-rival Florida. The Gators were thought to be a team that could struggle due to its difficult November slate.

Now that the Gators are 6-5 and head football coach Billy Napier is continuing to lead them, the recruiting efforts have heated up where they grabbed three of Florida State's commitments in quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., running back Byron Louis, and offensive lineman Daniel Pierre-Louis.

It seems like the Seminoles have not offered many prospects in this cycle and want their main focus to be on the transfer portal. However, Florida State did offer Class of 2025 three-star safety Lo'Kavion Jackson (Mississippi State commit) from Lynn Haven, Florida on Friday morning.

I recently discussed with Jackson, and he stated that he was going to be in attendance for the Seminoles' matchup versus Florida. The talented defensive back explained that it was a dream of his to receive an offer from Florida State. Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. gave the offer to the talented defender so that could lessen the worry of Surtain Sr. taking a job elsewhere.

The offer for Jackson could have come from the fact that four-star cornerback commit Zae Thomas is being pursued by Clemson and three-star safety commit Max Redmon is visiting Mississippi State.
