Florida State football has had about as productive of an offseason as they could have gotten after the Seminoles finished with a 2-10 record.

The worst news probably comes when five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas flipped to LSU, as well as true freshman quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and redshirt sophomore linebacker Omar Graham Jr. entering the transfer portal.

Kromenhoek was a talented five-star prospect that many fans were not excited to see go into the transfer portal. He showed the ability to be successful at times, but most don't know how much stock to put into that aspect with going 2-10 on the season.

Nonetheless, some people thought it was strange that redshirt sophomore linebacker Omar Graham Jr. entered the transfer portal. Graham Jr. had a very productive end of the year, where he finished with 37 tackles (four for loss) and one sack.

The thought process of Graham Jr. entering the transfer portal made sense to a degree because he battled with injuries throughout his career, and he has already gone through two linebacker coaches during his time at Florida State (Chris Marve and Randy Shannon). Marve was the one who recruited him to the university.

In the words of the great defensive back Jarrian Jones: "I heard what y'all were saying on Twitter."

Fans were critical of the way that the linebacker was performing. Florida State had to replace the likes of veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune, who went to the NFL Draft. The linebackers, such as Justin Cryer and Blake Nichelson, are solid, but veteran DJ Lundy was underperforming.

The Seminoles got some good news on Thursday night as multiple sources reported that Graham Jr. has withdrawn his name from the portal and is expected to return to Florida State.

Cryer and Nichelson will be back in defensive coordinator Tony White's 3-3-5 scheme in addition to Graham Jr. It will require the linebackers to come up in space. I expect the position group to be vital in being able to stop the run (something that Florida State struggled to do last season).

Seminole fans can breathe a little bit as the significant transfer portal entries lessen.
