FSU will have a hat on the table when big athlete Heze Kent makes his announcement on Saturday,
Kent, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound athlete that could present a ton of unique options on offense, will be making his selection between FSU, Florida, Miami and Texas.

The prospect from Brunswick (Ga.) High took his official visit to Tallahassee on June 20 and the FSU staff reportedly discussed several ways to use the big man, including in the wildcat.
Kent would primarily be a tight end, and it's no secret that FSU is looking for a second prospect at the position to join Xavier Tiller in the class. It appears that the Seminoles are going to finish out of the running for Landen Miree, so Kent becomes the next target on the board.
Whereas Miree was considered an FSU lean for a good portion of his recruitment, the Seminoles staff might have to put in extra work to tilt Kent's recruitment into their favor. Rivals national analyst Chad Simmons says Kent's recruitment is still in play, but he believes a rival school has the edge and doesn't even mention FSU as a possibility.

"I think all three schools you mentioned - Florida, Miami, Texas - are still making their final push to see if they can get Kent," Simmons said. "Right now, I like where Florida sits. I don't think the decision has been completely made as we talk about this....but I do like Florida's position as of today."
If Kent does decide to head elsewhere, it's curious to see exactly where the FSU staff would turn to next. They probably don't NEED two tight ends in this class, but I could see them simply adding a developmental prospect in the days before the Early Signing Period if nothing else shakes out.
The staff have pulled out a few surprises this recruiting cycle already and landing Kent would be one of the biggest.
