One of the biggest x-factors in how much success FSU would find in the 2025 season revolved around the health of its starting lineup. That’s true for any football team, but FSU had positions that seemed to lack proven depth.

The offensive line, secondary, and tight end room come to mind. FSU started the season with a few guys out. Kevin Wynn and Lawayne McCoy come to mind. Some other players have gotten hurt or have been dealing with injuries over the past few weeks.

The good news is that FSU had two easy games after the season opener against Alabama, and used that time for guys to take the time to heal and rehab. They haven’t suffered any catastrophic injuries, and the players who are listed as OUT for the Virginia game were not guys counted on to make massive impacts. Freshman Jayvan Boggs is questionable, but McCoy and Squirrel White are available. Linebacker Caleb LaValle is questionable, but hasn’t played yet this season, and the same for freshman defensive tackle Kevin Wynn.

It would be great to have Wynn get some reps before the Miami game, but we’ll see if he makes an appearance. Thomas Castellanos is listed as probable and has looked fine, but I'll be watching to see how he moves in the game after leaving last week's game.

Otherwise, FSU looks to be in great shape health-wise going into the Virginia game on Friday night.
