The Pittsburgh Panthers coming to Doak Campbell Stadium on October 11th was probably already slated for a noon kickoff, with the Panthers blowing a 17-point lead against Louisville.
The Noles losing in double overtime against Virginia, a few hours later didn’t help the cause, and so the Pittsburgh vs. FSU game will have a noon kickoff.
It’s not the end of the world, though, because FSU will either go into the game riding a high of defeating an undefeated Miami Hurricanes team the week before or losing their second consecutive game.

At the very least, FSU fans won’t have to wait all day to watch their guys play against a mediocre team that nobody cares about watching.
Nonetheless, FSU fans are not too happy about the noon kickoff overall, but a few get the positives:

Pittsburgh will host Boston College the week before traveling to Tallahassee. They are near a touchdown favorite over the Eagles, so it’ll be interesting to see if they come into the game over .500 for the season. They have had big leads in their last two games and blown each. It’s not like they are bottom-of-the-barrel bad, but they are not great either. However, how the Miami game goes could impact that game.
A bad loss could make it difficult to rebound the following week. A win over Miami would boost confidence greatly, and they’d probably roll the Panthers.
