Florida State football is in a downward spiral as they lose by a score of 52-3 to Notre Dame. The program is in a place where the term "rock bottom" could be too generous. The offense and defensive units have been abysmal.
The loss last night brings the Seminoles to an unfathomable 1-9 record on the year. 2024 just keeps getting worse for head football coach Mike Norvell and these players. There are even some fans that think Florida State might lose to Charleston Southern.
To tell you the truth, I haven't seen this offense score more than 21 points this season, so anything is possible at this point. It is embarrassing to write about the product that is on the field. However, I am a passionate Seminole fan so I am here for the pain and suffering that comes with it sometimes.
With that being said, good news arrived on Sunday afternoon as Class of 2025 three-star defensive ends Darryll and Mandrell Desir from Miami Norland High School in Miami, Florida, have committed to Florida State.
I previously wrote about the Desir brothers de-committing from UCF and would be officially visiting Florida State on the weekend of November 23rd when the Seminoles play Charleston Southern.
With that being said, I thought that they would likely pledge to the Seminoles on that weekend instead of doing it right after a bad loss to Notre Dame. Nonetheless, I am still glad that they committed to Florida State.
The Seminoles have 13 commitments in their 2025 recruiting class and have the 31st-best, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Florida State has a standard. The standard will always be the standard. I know that there will be some fans out there saying that they are just recruiting against the likes of UCF. However, both are talented prospects in positions of need.
Hopefully, this spells good luck to the Seminoles' recruiting class going forward.
