FSU football fans are looking for anything positive after its ugly loss against the rival Miami Hurricanes in a primetime matchup on Saturday night. Some of the fans blame the loss on recruiting(though that’s not really true) because the loss was two bad decisions on two interceptions, and one of the top running backs in the 2025 recruiting class lost a fumble.

FSU doesn’t have a talent problem; it had execution issues and bad decision-making in back-to-back losses. However, the highest-ranked commit in the 2026 recruiting class posted a positive message on his social media account late Sunday night:

It’s encouraging that the lone five-star commit in the class took the time to post at all. However, it’s likely in response to what he saw in the game on Saturday night. Miami hit three huge pass plays, mostly targeting one of FSU’s best defensive backs from the transfer portal, Jeremiah Wilson.

Wilson hasn’t looked great over the past two games, and Kennon believes he’s the next guy up at cornerback for the Noles. The FSU coaches have shown they are not afraid to throw freshmen in the mix if they are the best option, and Kennon will have his opportunity to show that after he enrolls.

Some casual fans may not believe FSU will hold on to the five-star. Anything can happen, but Kennon revealed he has an FSU tattoo shortly after announcing his commitment to the Noles.

Kennon has also been recruiting for the Noles, hoping to add more talent to this recruiting class. FSU has most of its needs filled, but if the Noles can land an offensive tackle and 1-2 defensive ends/JACK recruits, that would complete the recruiting class.

They must get back to their winning ways to build some momentum as we reach the mid-point of the season, but at least this high-profile commit isn’t looking for attention in a negative manner.
