FSU football: 3-star OL Daniel Pierre Louis commits to FSU over NC State
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU hasn't done a ton of winning on the field this year and the offensive line has been arguably the worst unit on the field in 2024. Lately, some players have wanted to come and try to be a part of the solution. FSU landed its second offensive lineman commitment within the past week on Tuesday when three-star offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis announced his commitment to the Noles. He chose the Noles over NC State who got an official visit from him last weekend. Pierre Louis officially visited FSU for the Clemson game. He has an official visit scheduled for Florida later this year, but we'll see if that takes place.
Pierre Louis hails from Seminole Ridge HS in Loxahatchee, Florida. He ranks as the No. 1,006 player nationally and the No. 63 interior offensive lineman. He holds offers from FSU, NC State, Florida, Memphis, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and several smaller schools.
He lists 6'4.5" and 290 pounds. He's the fourth offensive lineman in the class, joining blue-chip players Mario Nash Jr., Peyton Joseph, and Solomon Thomas. Pierre Louis is the lowest-ranking player in the class and likely the last offensive lineman they'll take from high school.
He's a guy who'll likely need a year or two to develop before contributing anytime soon. That seems to be the going rate for Alex Atkins, with guys ranked where Pierre Louis ranks. This would be a solid high school offensive line haul for FSU and the most they've signed since 2022. Unfortunately, only one player from that 2022 class has made any contributions thus far. However, as a whole, these players rank much higher than that group.
