FSU football: 3 important things to address in the bye week

Florida State has surprised everyone with its fast start to the 2025 season. The Noles dominated No. 8 Alabama 31-17 and destroyed East Texas A&M 77-3.

These rankings don’t mean much this early, but FSU has gone from unranked to No. 14 to No. 10 after two weeks. The only benefit it provides is if FSU continues to win, they’ll have a great seeding for the College Football Playoff.

Do you know how crazy it feels to type that after going 2-10 last year? I thought FSU would have a strong start to the season, but beating Alabama in the fashion they did changes expectations quite a bit. Those expectations seem to keep evolving the more we see of Clemson and some other teams on the schedule.

I know some folks don’t like this bye week where it is, but it comes at a good time, considering what FSU had on the horizon with its first road game and the potential top-10 matchup against Miami the following week. Here are three important things that need to be addressed during the bye week.
