FSU football had a monster Early Signing Day for a team that only won two games in 2024. The Noles started the day with the No. 38 recruiting class nationally and 12 commits. They finish with 18 commits and the No. 25 recruiting class nationally.

The last piece to the puzzle was blue-chip WR/TE Tae'Shaun Gelsey, a player I said to look out for who could flip when I wrote how FSU could enter the top 25 even if they lost its top-rated commit, Solomon Thomas.

They lost Thomas, but Gelsey flipping put the Noles in the top 25. Gelsey officially visited FSU last weekend for the Florida game, which prompted the possibility he would flip. Gelsey ranks as the No. 332 player nationally, No. 17 TE, and No. 48 player in the Sunshine State.

He stands 6'4" and is 215 pounds. He becomes part of a massive wide receiver haul for the Noles, with three guys at 6'4" or taller. Gelsey hails from Riverside High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and holds 28 offers.

He was offered by new FSU offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn when he was the head coach at UCF, which could have played a factor in his decision to flip to the Noles.

FSU may not be done adding players, as Mike Norvell mentioned a few more guys could join the program between today and Friday when the Early Signing Period ends.

FSU has a 50 percent blue-chip ratio with 18 signees, and at least 10+ will enroll at FSU in January.
