The best chance Mike Norvell has at saving his job is to get a top-level quarterback in the program and on the field.
So when four-star QB Jake Nawrot said that some of the Seminoles coaches mentioned one of the great Seminoles when comparing his skill set, it should get everyone's attention.
"I would say sometimes Jordan Travis. They would say a little bit in terms of making plays," Nawrot said to 247Sports' Zach Blostein. "For their offense, otherwise, there wasn't a specific player they compared me to. They just said I can play."
The nation's No. 6 QB Jake Nawrot was offered by FSU less than a month ago.

He made his first ever visit to Tallahassee this week.
Where do the Seminoles now stand?

Nawrot is the latest in the revolving door of QB prospects to come through spring practice continued this week. He is listed at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds and plays high school ball in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights. That's the same city that another FSU QB target, Israel Abrams, plays.
FSU fans might have to check out a lot of Chicagoland prep football this year.
Norvell has been hot after Abrams for a while now, but Nawrot is a newer name on the board. He was extended an offer last month and decided to take a trip to Tallahassee for an extended visit over the past couple of days.
4-star QB Jake Nawrot takes spring visit to FSU
Nawrot earned his offer from the Seminoles last month and the quarterback really took off during the showcase camps to where he's now nearly a five-star prospect.Â
FSU is battling with Kansas State, Washington and others, but the stiffest competition might come from Oregon, Kentucky and Iowa. Norvell is probably playing catch-up in this recruitment, but getting Nawrot on campus for a couple of days is never a bad thing and if they can get an official visit over the summer, then everything is in play. Oregon is going to get a spring visit from Nawrot next week and I feel like we'll get a better idea of how serious the Seminoles are in his recruitment after that trip.
