FSU basketball (15-10, 6-8 ACC) got destroyed by Clemson in its latest outing over the weekend. However, they will have the perfect team to rebound against when they host the rival Miami Hurricanes (6-19, 2-12 ACC) on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET in the Tucker Center.

It's a team the Noles have owned over the past few years in the Leonard Hamilton era. FSU has won 15 of the past 17 meetings and 13 of the last 14. FSU beat Miami in 2023 during FSU's nine-win season, and Miami had its Final Four run.

The Noles rolled the Canes 80-65 last month and will go into Wednesday night's game as -8.5 betting favorites. The over/under points total is 152.5, implying an 81-72 FSU basketball win, according to FanDuel.

Miami had a 10-game losing streak at one point but has won two of its last four games.

FSU shot 50 percent from the floor overall and made 10 of 24 three-pointers in the last matchup. They also had 38 points in the paint and 17 fastbreak points.

The FSU defense forced 13 turnovers and converted those into 20 points offensively. Malique Ewin had a double-double, and Taylor Bol Bowen and Jamir Watkins scored in double figures.

FSU held Miami to 36.7 percent shooting overall and 23.8 percent from the three-point line.

Aside from allowing too many offensive rebounds and only making 6 of 11 free throws, it was nearly a perfect game for the Noles.

Can they shoot the three-ball that well again on Wednesday night and score at will in the paint again? They are a better team than Miami, but they must pressure them defensively and create turnovers.

If they can do the latter, they'll likely continue its dominance over the Canes.

This game will be the final time Leonard Hamilton will face his former team, and it would be cool for everyone to come out and support.
