FSU softball (31-4, 8-0 ACC) won its 20th consecutive game with a 4-2 win over the Clemson Tigers to clinch the ACC series win on Saturday afternoon.
Clemson took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning off starting pitcher Ashtyn Danley without getting a hit. However, FSU took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning before the Tigers tied the game on a suicide squeeze play in the bottom of the fifth to set the stage for freshman Anna Hinde.
Clemson got the first two batters out in the top of the sixth before a two-out walk to Bella Ruggiero. Anna Hinde smoked a 1-0 fastball deep over the left field wall to give the Noles a 4-2 lead, and the eventual final score.

Anna Hinde is having a great freshman season, and looks like she could be one of the pillars to FSU success over the next few years.
Ashtyn Danley got the win, pitching 3.2 innings, allowing two hits, one earned run, one walk, and one strikeout. Freshman Bella Dimitrijevic pitched 3.1 innings in relief, allowing one earned run, three walks, and two strikeouts. Clemson only had two hits in the game.
Surprisingly, shortstop sensation Isa Torres went 0-4 with a strikeout. Jaysoni Beachum was the only FSU hitter with two hits.
The FSU offense finished with seven walks and six strikeouts. FSU will look for its third ACC series sweep on Sunday. The game will be a later start at 6 p.m. and will air on the ACC Network.
