Florida State football had a special 2023 season with dynamic players such as Keon Coleman on the offensive side of the football.
I realize that some fans are a little angry still over the rumor that was started about Coleman telling recruits and transfers not to come to Florida State due to the lack of development by wide receivers coach Ron Dugans. Whether it was true or not, Dugans is no longer on staff and Coleman had a solid one-year campaign with the Seminoles to help them accomplish a 13-0 season.
Coleman was selected in the second round (technically the first) by the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL Draft. This seemed to be a perfect marriage for the talented pass-catcher to build a connection with superstar quarterback Josh Allen, who was having to replace the likes of Stefon Diggs.
Coleman did not disappoint as he finished the regular season with 29 receptions and 556 yards with four touchdowns. It certainly had his moments during his rookie year.
The Buffalo Bills will be needing him even more today as they take on the Denver Broncos at home in the AFC Wild Card Game. The Bills want to make a statement after losing to the New England Patriots to end the season (even though the Bills were not playing many of their starters).
Coleman has only had one touchdown in his last five games and wants to get back in the endzone again. The good news is that the wide receiver had ten targets versus the Patriots and had seven targets versus the Jets in the game before. Hopefully, we see him get a ton of catches as the Bills hope to make the next round.
