FSU FOOTBALL WITH JOHNNY WILSON

Florida State football had a productive 2022 and 2023 season. A big reason was that they had immense talent at their disposal. It all started with quarterback Jordan Travis and that offense.

Even though the Seminoles finished with a 10-3 record in 2022, it helped to have pieces such as running back Trey Benson and wide receiver Johnny Wilson. The 6'7" pass catcher Johnny Wilson was a mismatch nightmare.

Wilson recorded 84 receptions for 1,514 yards and seven touchdowns during his two seasons in Tallahassee. That production allowed him to be selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

WILSON WITH THE EAGLES

The Philadelphia Eagles have a productive offense, but some of the Seminoles fan bases were wondering how the franchise would manage the big-bodied pass catcher. Wilson did have production in his rookie campaign during the regular season, where he had five receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown.

This is something that Wilson can build off of. The Philadelphia Eagles took on the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, and the former Florida State Seminole wide receiver took advantage of the circumstances.

Wilson was making the most of his opportunity. Even though it was in the preseason, this could allow the coaching staff to be wowed and further himself up the depth chart. I expect Wilson to be a bigger piece in the Eagles' offense.

I know that some wide receivers with size play down to their size, but Wilson looks to be using his height to his advantage. As a Florida State football fan, I will be monitoring him as he progresses throughout the preseason.
