Former FSU receiver lays another egg at transfer home despite all his 'development'

All that development is really paying off for Hykeem Williams (dripping in sarcasm)

Former FSU wide receiver Hykeem Williams continues to make FSU coaches look like geniuses every week. The former five-star receiver who left FSU after spring camp to transfer to Colorado said he got way more development in Boulder than in his two years at FSU.

Those remarks rubbed fans the wrong way, especially since Williams came to FSU out of shape and was injured much of his time in Tallahassee. He wouldn’t buy what Mike Norvell and the new coaching staff were trying to sell, so they didn’t fight to keep him when he decided to enter the transfer portal.

Williams has played in three games with Colorado and has four receptions for 33 yards and no touchdowns. He only had one reception on Friday night in Colorado’s 36-20 loss against Houston.

For comparison's sake, former five-star and USC transfer Duce Robinson had more production in the first quarter in his last game than Williams has in three games combined.

Colordo falls to 1-2 and has a quarterback dilemma because they don't have a legitimate quarterback, and that's even worse news for Williams and his potential production.

They have a game they should win next week, but then Colorado is a string of games against BYU, TCU, Iowa State, Utah, Arizona, and Kansas State. That’s likely four or five more losses, and they have two more games against Arizona State and Kansas State. They’ll likely lose at least one of those, and Deion Sanders seemed surprised they got smoked by Houston in his post-game press conference. I’d be surprised if he returned to Colorado next year.

Mike Norvell said he only wanted the real ones and would hold everyone accountable. Each week proves more and more that FSU got the better end of this situation.
