FSU FOOTBALL STRUGGLES
Florida State football fell again last week, as they lost to the Stanford Cardinal by a score of 20-13. This is a result that I never envisioned the Seminoles losing. Stanford is one of the worst teams in the country.
However, it happens and the program under head football coach Mike Norvell need to respond. It seems like the Seminoles are having to respond a ton when Coach Norvell has been at the helm. The fault falls on everyone because this is obviously not the standard of the proud program.
Even if Florida State finds a way to win out and get to 8-4 in the regular season, the fan base probably still wants head football coach Mike Norvell fired.
FORMER QUARTERBACK SPEAKS
The highs of Mike Norvell's tenure at Florida State have come from having quarterback Jordan Travis, who performed well in 2022 (10-3 record) and 2023 (13-1 record). It is a shame that Travis suffered the gruesome injury against North Alabama in 2023 because that squad could have been special.
However, the former signal-caller is making the most of his opportunities after medically retiring from the NFL. He has a podcast with his brother called "Travis Take Two" where he discusses a ton of topics.

In a recent episode, he talks about redshirt freshman wide receiver Micahi Danzy:
"We got to get the ball into our playmakers' hands. Micahi Danzy had three touches for over 100 yards (against Stanford). Every time you see a post route from Micahi Danzy, I don't think he's dropped one all year. We've overthrown him once or twice, but he is a playmaker. Why is the ball not in his hands more? And that is what upsets me a little bit.""
The Tallahassee native has recorded 19 receptions for 436 yards and two touchdowns. He also has eight carries for 168 yards and three touchdowns. The speedster is starting to come into his own with two straight 100-yard performances. He should no longer be considered as a "gadget player".
