Florida State football has had an up-and-down couple of weeks, where they have struggled to find consistency. The Seminoles' fan base wants to be competing for championships, but the program has only won seven games in two years.
There has to be a solution to the struggles soon. The administration decided to keep the head football coach, Mike Norvell, around for the 2026 season. This was a decision that individuals couldn't get behind.
The Seminoles have had four losing seasons in six years, and their 10-3 campaign in 2022 and 13-1 campaign in 2023 seem like decades ago now. With that said, with the right pieces, Norvell has proven that he can be successful in Tallahassee.
Florida State graduate assistant D'Mitri Emmanuel is taking a job at Kansas State
Florida State football has to get back to the winning success that it had in 2022 and 2023. Former offensive lineman D'Mitri Emmanuel served as a graduate assistant with the Seminoles after being a first-team All-ACC offensive lineman for the program in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Emmanuel was brought over to Florida State from Charlotte. He was a two-year starter for the Seminoles at guard, where he started 27 games. The young assistant has helped with the offensive and defensive lines. It seemed that it was only a matter of time until he was able to move himself up the coaching ranks.
According to a report from 247Sports' Chris Hummer, Kansas State is hiring D'Mitri Emmanuel as an offensive line analyst.

Emmanuel spent the last 2 seasons at Florida State, most recently serving as a GA and assistant o-line coach.
He's also a former 1st-team all-ACC OG with FSU.https://t.co/yRFlWAA58S pic.twitter.com/70q7gDPwtd
He has been working for the Seminoles for the past two seasons as an analyst. Emmanuel is always out at the Moore Center helping recruit highly-touted offensive and defensive linemen. We at ChopChat are happy that the former offensive lineman gets his opportunity to elevate himself in the coaching profession and wish him nothing but the best.
