Florida State football fell to North Carolina State on the road by a score of 21-11 on Friday night. This was a contest where the Seminoles had a chance to win and found a way to have more self-inflicted penalties and turnovers.

This seems to be a never-ending cycle of the 2025 season for the program. They cannot get out of their own way, but that is the reality of the bad news that Florida State has endured since the College Football Playoff snub in 2023.

Fans have been frustrated with head football coach Mike Norvell. Whether it is his fault or not, Norvell is considered the main guy within the program that controls a majority of what goes on.

Florida State announced on Sunday that Coach Norvell will be back with the Seminoles during the 2026 season, which upset many individuals given that he has lost 16 games in the last two seasons. However, here are three reasons why keeping Norvell was the smartest investment for Florida State.
