Florida State football has always been known to develop former players into professional football ranks. The Seminoles have four players participating in Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi had 17 total tackles in the 2024 regular season, while defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr. has not played but had a productive career with the Seminoles.

I realize that most individuals in the fan base do not want the Kansas City Chiefs to repeat as Super Bowl champions. Plus, the Chiefs play the Warchant, and it is not better than Florida State's version with the world-renowned Marching Chiefs.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing former players Nnadi and Lovett Sr. get Super Bowl rings as a Florida State football fan.

In regards to the Eagles, it looks like they are the America's team that many are pulling for. The Eagles have the better Seminole duo in defensive end Josh Sweat and wide receiver Johnny Wilson.

Sweat had 41 tackles (nine for loss) and eight sacks during the 2024 season. He will have to have a wonderful performance to propel the Eagles past the Chiefs. It will be vital to get quarterback Pat Mahomes on the ground to ensure that he is not beating you through the air.

In terms of big-bodied wide receiver Johnny Wilson, he did have five receptions with 38 yards and a touchdown. Wilson was a go-to target for signal-caller Jordan Travis. While he has not recorded a statistic, receiving options such as AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert could be blanketed.

This could be a moment for Wilson to emerge as a red-zone threat. Regardless, I am excited to see former Seminoles make their presence known in the big game.
