It certainly was not the best look for the program, but Florida State improved to 2-2 on the year after defeating Central Arkansas in Tallahassee. The Seminoles were expected to win by over 40 points throughout the entire week, and the 34-7 result left many fans unsatisfied. It is very hard to judge ahead of time what the team will look like each game, which has made the incoming visit from Virginia an interesting one.

The Cavaliers have proven themselves to be a team that snowballs on offense, and once the offense is in a groove, it is very difficult to pull them out. Florida State cannot afford to get trapped in Virginia's games in Week 5 after walking through an FCS game. In order to do so, the Seminoles will need to make improvements quickly, which is something the team has not been able to do each week this season.

Week 5 could become a pivotal time for the Seminoles, with a 2-2 record and a string of difficult ACC games set to take place. Florida State was in a similar spot last season against Virginia, and the loss led to the team losing grip on the rest of the season.

A loss to Virginia could be what really opens the floodgates this season for Florida State. The Cavaliers will enter Tallahassee as favorites over the Seminoles.

Weather forecast in Tallahassee

There have already been two delays this season for the Seminoles, with one due to a power outage and the other a result of lightning, and fans will need to cross their fingers this weekend. There is a 65% chance of showers and a thunderstorm in the morning, and the same forecast for the afternoon as the humidity drops to 75%.

Early hourly reports predict a thunderstorm should be moving through the area around 3 p.m. ET, which could impact the 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff time. There is still plenty of time for changes, however; it is still a situation to monitor.
