Week 6 is officially here for Florida State as the team will meet the Cardinals in Louisville for another pivotal ACC clash. The Seminoles are coming off an impressive win over Virginia that was by far the most complete performance the team has had this season. Louisville, on the other hand, will look to avoid a third-straight loss against in conference play.
In Week 5, Florida State finally looked like an improved team after coach Mike Norvell had previously commented on the success the team had in practice this season. Success in practice does not mean much unless it translates over to the games, and that certainly happened against Virginia. The real test is now waiting for the Seminoles as Norvell needs to prove the Week 5 win was not a fluke.
Louisville will be entering the game with a very lengthy injury report that includes multiple starters like Keon Entringer, Cason Henry, Keyjuan Brown, and Lincol Kienholz. Both Entringer and Kienholz are expected to play against Florida State, but neither player is going to be back at full health.
The Seminoles will also enter the game with a number of injuries, but none of them are new. The situation to watch involves linebacker Mikai Gbayor, who is a major part of the defense and currently listed as probable for the game. Florida State is already thin at linebacker, and potentially losing Gbayor would have a massive impact on the team.
