Update 9:23 p.m. ET: No official updates on Kromah have been provided yet, but another Florida State player has gone to the locker room. Linebacker Omar Graham Jr. was down on the field after attempting to make a tackle and will now be heading to the locker room for further evaluation.

Starting Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah was carted off the field in the second quarter after suffering an ankle injury against the Miami Hurricanes. Kromah was attempting to rush toward the sideline as multiple Miami defenders came within range of the tackle. The defenders fell on Kromah's leg as the running back broke a tackle.

Kromah was briefly down on the field before the medical team rushed out to assist him. The running back was only down for a short time before an air cast was applied to his ankle, and then the cart was called over shortly after.

Quarterback Ashton Daniels quickly scored a rushing touchdown after Kromah was carted off the field, and flashed the numbers "3" and "2" for his running back.

Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah carted off in the 2nd quarter against Miami

Kormah needed to be carted off of the field after the medical team applied an air cast to his ankle shortly after the play. The cart needed to come out to help Kromah almost immediately, which is something that nobody wants to see. Given how great Kromah has been this season, it is espeically awful to see a talented player in the middle of his breakout year leave the field under those circumstances.

The running back recorded 14 carries for 44 yards before going down with an ankle injury, and his tenacity with the football in his hands helped Florida State push the Miami defense backwards.

The injury comes at an unfortunate time for the Seminoles, as fellow running back Samuel Singleton Jr. is sidelined as well. Former Texas starter Tre Wisner will be taking over the backfield duties with Kromah absent, after already stepping into Singleton's role previously.

This post will be updated as new information regarding Kromah and his injury is revealed
