Things are moving fast when it comes to 4-star quarterback Jaden O'Neal and his recruitment. Last weekend, he took an official visit to Florida State and rumors started flying that he was about to decommit from Oklahoma.

That news came in on Thursday night, which was months in the making. Less than 24 hours later, recruiting guru Steve Wiltfong has wasted no time in putting in his official prediction for O'Neal to commit to Mike Norvell and the Seminoles. Could some breaking news come in for the 'Noles this weekend? That's what a lot of fans are now hoping for:

Florida State appears on the verge of landing 4-star quarterback Jaden O'Neal

It goes without saying, but this would end up being a huge commitment for Norvell and Co. O'Neal was committed to Oklahoma for quite some time, but Brent Venabales and the Sooners continued to recruit 4-star QB Bowe Bentley.

With O'Neal now backing off his pledge, Venables is ready to go all-in to land Bentley, with On3 also predicting for that to go down. If the dominoes fall the way we think they're going to, Bentley will sign with the Sooners in December, while O'Neal will put the pen to paper with Florida State.

According to the 247Sports Composite, O'Neal, an Oklahoma product, is ranked four stars, the No. 14 quarterback in the country, No. 1 player from Oklahoma and No. 205 playmaker overall for the 2026 class. He's a true gamer, no doubt about that.

Throughout his recruitment, the 6-3, 215-pounder has picked up offers from Florida State, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State and many others. He's an electric talent and the kind of QB that coaches across the country have been hoping to sign. For a while, it looked like his future was going to be in Norman. Now, however, it sure feels like he's going to be Tallahassee-bound for his college career.
