No. 6 seed FSU women's basketball won its first NCAA Tournament game 95-59 against the No. 11 seed George Mason. The Noles opened a 41-29 halftime lead before annihilating George Mason with a 31-6 fourth quarter.

Ta'Niya Latson led the way with 28 points, and Makayla Timpson had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

O'Mariah Gordon had 18 points and Sydney Bowles had 15 points and seven rebounds. FSU will face the No. 3 seed LSU on Monday.

FSU softball (28-5, 5-0 ACC) clinched its series over the Duke Blue Devils and will look for the sweep on Sunday. However, it was almost a castatrophic collapse from the FSU pitching staff. FSU led the game 11-1 going into the bottom of the fifth and looked for its second consecutive run-rule win over Duke before the Blue Devils trimmed the lead to 11-5 to extend the game.

Duke continued to chip away and had the winning run on in the bottom of the seventh before FSU got the final out to win 12-11. Duke was the preseason favorite to win the ACC over the Noles. Duke defeated FSU in three of four games last year.

FSU baseball (20-3, 5-1 ACC) went to Miami and took a series win over the rival Hurricanes. Wes Mendes had his first start to not go past the fifth inning on Saturday night, but Peyton Prescott was dynamite out of the bullpen to hold the Canes scoreless over four innings. Joe Charles pitched a scoreless ninth inning as the Noles defeated the Canes 10-6. The FSU offense pounded 13 hits, but nine were singles. Max Williams hit his 10th home run and Gage Harrelson had two hits and three RBI.

The Noles will travel to Jacksonville to avenge a prior loss against the rival Florida Gators on Tuesday evening.
