Florida State has had a busy last few days across multiple sports. FSU football started spring camp this week, and we discussed some concerns as camp starts.

FSU had its Pro Day this week with former players looking to improve their draft stock with solid performances.

Former FSU standout Jameis Winston signed a two-year deal with the New York Giants worth over eight million dollars.  Hopefully, this will finally be the chance Winston has to re-establish himself as a starter in the NFL.

FSU softball (27-5, 4-0 ACC) came from behind to beat Duke in the first game of their three-game series. The Noles defeated the Blue Devils on the road 12-4 in five innings. Jaysoni Beachum had three RBI and Hallie Wacaser and Katie Dack had home runs. It was Dack's second in as many games, and she has three RBI.

Annabelle Widra pitched the first two innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits, no walks, and two strikeouts. Jazzy Francik pitched the final three innings, allowing two hits, no runs, no walks, and one strikeout. The Noles will look to clinch the series on Saturday.

FSU baseball (19-3, 4-1 ACC) suffered a 9-6 loss to the rival Miami Hurricanes. Jamie Arnold took the loss and wasn't sharp on the night. He only pitched four innings, allowing seven hits and six earned runs on three walks and two strikeouts. FSU made it interesting in the top of the ninth, trailing 9-4, and had the bases loaded with no outs.

However, the Noles could only push across two runs as Jaxson West and Hunter Carns struck out and Myles Bailey was out at the plate trying to score on a wild pitch. FSU batters left 13 runners on base and the defense committed two errors. As bad as FSU played, they still had their opportunities. Wes Mendes will take the mound Saturday to try to clinch the series win.
