He's on the move once again. Former Florida State standout quarterback Jameis Winston, who won the Heisman Trophy with the Seminoles in 2013 and a national title, will reportedly sign a two-year contract with the New York Giants.
This potential move had been rumored for a little while, though it was reported that the Giants were also targeting Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson. In the end, though, Winston is now going to be getting ready for Year 11 in the league and it's going to take place in East Rutherford.
Winston is getting $8 million from the Giants over the next two seasons, but incentives could double it to $16 million. He's not going to be pressured into leading the G-Men to a Super Bowl. However, he'll surely serve as the bridge quarterback, with Joe Schoen ready to take a QB high in the 2025 NFL Draft. Not only that, but you better believe that Winston is going to be tasked with feeding '24 No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers with dimes so he can keep living up to his first-round hype:

Jameis Winston is signing a 2-year deal with the New York Giants
Normally, Florida State fans wouldn't care too much about a former LSU playmaker putting on a show, but in this case, everyone can go ahead and make an exception. Last season for the Browns, Winston tossed for 2,121 yards and 13 touchdowns in 12 games - he started seven.
With him, for now, expected to be the starting quarterback for the Giants, he's going to look to make countless big-time plays for Big Blue in all 17 games in 2025. Having a sensational target in Nabers, who posted 109 receptions and 1,204 yards last season, is only going to make life easier for him.
Once camp arrives, the two will work overtime in building chemistry with one another. Nabers is no question going to love having a veteran quarterback throwing the ball his way. The Giants will likely end up with either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders in the draft this year, as Schoen and Brian Daboll know John Mara is losing patience.
A new, exciting young quarterback will more than likely be on his way to town via the draft in late April. Despite that, Winston will bring a ton of experience to East Rutherford and he will hope to make a splash at MetLife Stadium. Him and Nabers balling out together will be fun to watch.
