FSU FOOTBALL AP POLL

Florida State has started on the Week 2 updated AP poll as the 14th-best team in college football. Don't tell that to ESPN's Paul Finebaum, though, as he thought that the Seminoles would be dominated by the Crimson Tide.

However, it looks like Florida State had its fun with making sure the mouth breathers of the SEC got what they deserved: An old-fashioned beat down. It got so bad at times that head football coach Kalen DeBoer didn't even give credit to Florida State, and instead deflected on his squad not playing well.

Nonetheless, I want to highlight some reactions to the Seminoles' AP poll ranking on social media.

IT IS POISON

Former Florida State defensive back Bryant McFadden played for the Seminoles between 2000-2004, and spoke to the team in the locker room before the game about staying focused.

STORMING THE FIELD

I am not a big fan of field storming, but I get the concept of it for the Florida State Seminoles since it was a bit of a sigh of relief that the nightmare from the 2-10 season is over. Nonetheless, the program had no issue with paying the $50,000 to the ACC for the incident.

JOB ISN'T FINISHED

This user said it correctly, as the job isn't finished with Florida State. The college football landscape is looking at the program after beating a squad that they were not favored to win. However, if 2021 wasn't enough of a lesson, it shows that individuals don't care if you beat Alabama and then collapse down the stretch.

Overall, I am personally glad that they have received respect from the AP voters, but the attention should be on East Texas A&M now.
