Florida State football has been a rollercoaster ride over the past two seasons, with a combined record of seven wins. This is not the standard of a program that expects to compete for conference and national championships. However, that is the reality of where we are with the Seminoles.

College football nowadays can allow anyone to compete. Just look at Miami, which has been irrelevant for over twenty years, and Indiana, which has been one of the worst all-time programs in the sport.

Head football coach Mike Norvell is hoping to turn Florida State around in an instant after the administration elected to retain him for the 2026 season, which has frustrated some members of the fan base.

Florida State schedules an official visit with four-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams

Florida State hosted several prospects for its Junior Day visits throughout January. The Seminoles are currently sitting with the 11th-best 2027 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.

This is not where Florida State fans want to see the Seminoles finish, but the race has just started as coaching staffs across the country are working on scheduling official visits for the summer. Many prospects try to commit to a school before starting their senior year.

One name to monitor for Florida State is Class of 2027 four-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams from Central Phenix City High School in Phenix City, Alabama, has scheduled an official visit with the Seminoles on the weekend of June 12th.

Williams is listed at 6'5" and 320 pounds, and is ranked as the 107th-best prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings. The offensive lineman was a former Alabama commitment. Georgia (May 29th) and Miami (June 5th) have also scheduled an official visit with him.

Assistant coach Herb Hand will have the opportunity to land the talented offensive lineman in his rotation to build on the future foundation.
