Florida State has the 2026 season on its mind, as it is in the midst of fall camp. Regardless, every program still has eyes on the future, and the latest update regarding five-star defensive lineman Prince Che's visits is interesting.
Che has 13 visits set up this fall, with a stop at Florida State on Sept. 7. That game will be against SMU, as the Seminoles open up ACC play in Week 1. That will give the Seminoles a golden opportunity to show what game days are like.
Che also has visits with Texas, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Texas A&M, Miami, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. And while Florida State only has one visit lined up, Che will get to see them up front on Oct. 17, when the Seminoles visit the Hurricanes.
With Che getting two front-run seats at Florida State, they will get the chance to gain ground in a chase for a highly recruited prospect.

Per 247Sports, Che has 38 offers and will make his rounds this fall. Considering the state of Florida State's program, there are other schools that may be more attractive to Che at first. Yet, it's so early in this process that anything can happen.
Che is from Thomasville, GA, where he plays his high school ball at Thomas County Central. He's listed at 6-foot-3, 305 pounds. Che has strong hands and a lower half that allows him to move in any direction.
His power and motor have given opposing blockers some trouble. During the 2025 season, he had 45 total tackles, 18.5 TFLs, and four sacks. His future is extremely bright, and teams are looking to get him committed to the university.
If Florida State can get him to come down to Tallahassee, that would be a huge win for Mike Norvell and his team. The fact that Che is coming down for a game-day visit is a good sign and shows he's interested in the school.
The Seminoles have managed to get two players to hard commit for 2028, with Chayse Brown and Troy Silberzahn coming down to Florida State. Both players are three-stars, so Che would quickly become their top addition for 2028.
Per 247Sports, he's the nation's 12th-ranked player and second-ranked defensive lineman. The hype is real around him, making this race one to watch. In the current landscape of college football, recruitment has changed.
With other factors like NIL playing a huge role, schools can really sway a player if they really want him at their school. While Florida State will definitely have to cough up a nice package to get Che in the building, he could be worth it.
