Florida State landing legacy player Duce Robinson from the transfer portal was a big win for the program after the 2024 season concluded. Robinson, a former five-star receiver out of high school, had some production at USC, but not enough to make him a sure-fire guy who would be the No. 1 receiver for FSU in 2025.

Duce Robinson has been nearly the entire FSU offense in several games, especially on the road, where the offense has been nearly non-existent. That was the case on Friday night against NC State, as Robinson had four receptions for 74 yards and the lone touchdown FSU scored.

That production put Robinson over the 1,000 yards receiving mark. He’s the first FSU receiver to surpass 50 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards since Tamorrion Terry in 2019. He has 53 receptions for 1,021 yards and six touchdowns with one game remaining in the season.

He hasn’t been perfect and left some meat on the bone at times with drops in the red zone, but Robinson has shown tremendous heart, battling through injuries to try to help the FSU offense put up points.

He was noticeably beat up towards the end of the NC State game on Friday night. It wouldn't surprise me to see him on the injury report next week with only one game remaining. However, he'll likely play if he's physically able to perform. Robinson could declare for the NFL Draft after this season, though he could probably return and try to improve his draft stock in 2026. The latter would be risky, considering how uncertain the coaching situation is at FSU. If this was the only year he sports the garnet and gold, he represented well like a true Seminole legacy player should.
