FSU FOOTBALL STRUGGLES

Florida State football is in a world of pain after suffering its fourth straight loss to Stanford by a score of 20-13. This was embarrassing by all accounts for a fan base that wants to see the Seminoles be successful. Individuals thought that there would be quick fixes to the issues after the 2-10 debacle.

However, Florida State is now sitting with a 3-4 record (0-4 in the conference), and is currently 1-11 in its last 12 ACC games. This is the same Seminole team that wants to leave the conference and navigate to the SEC or the Big Ten. With that said, 5-15 in the last 20 contests will not cut it in either conference.

Florida State released a statement on Monday afternoon, stating that they were committed to Mike Norvell for the remainder of the 2025 season. This ruffled some feathers with the fan base, especially those who want him fired.

DOES IT MATTER IF FSU WINS OUT?

Florida State has remaining games against Wake Forest, Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Florida. This schedule is doable because each of these teams has its own set of struggles.

However, this is a Seminole team that is beaten down after four straight losses. There is also uncertainty surrounding the coaching staff and even parts of the athletic department. Florida State last won a football game on September 20th, which seems like an eternity ago.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but this is a "show me" situation for all of those individuals who think the Seminoles could win out and get to an 8-4 regular season record. It all starts with Wake Forest when they come out of the bye week, but I believe that even if they win out, the minds of the Florida State administration have already been made to change the scenery in Tallahassee.
